Friends and Patrons

LSV Inc. is grateful to the Individuals and Organizations that have encouraged and supported out work since its inception, especially:

The Congo group have provided invaluable information and support. I hope we will be cooperating for a long time.

  • Richo Cech - Horizon Herbs, who has provided seeds for cover crops and medicinal plant seeds as well as magazines and other reading materials.
  • Mark Levitin - Donated a microscope and modified to survive power surges and other problems faced in the DRC. Ingrid then donated slides, cover slips, Kim wipes, and lens cloths that will last for quite some time.
  • Geshe Michael Roach - Author of the Diamond Cutter has volunteered support for education of children and women of Mwapoleni villages and help with construction of at least three pump-operated wells. We are sure that water will soon flow in Mwapoleni.

Tyra Tate, who has always reached deep down into her pocket to help finance various projects. Tyra has also been a great mental and emotional support on all levels and is always there when we have uncertainties, lifting our spirits and walking with us in silence, but still being there with her positive spirit and encouragement.

Patricia Anglin has provided funds for the orphanage and has given insight on how to deal with the particular issues related to orphans. “Patty”, as we affectionately call her, joined me in the Congo to see firsthand what was going on in the lives of these orphans and provided us with valuable information which will continue to dictate our efforts. Next September/October she is coming to evaluate our progress thus far.

Rebecca South has been listening to our hopes and dreams for the past 2 years, waiting for the moment she can step in with her lovely domes (Domes For the For the World) , especially in our earthquake areas such as Lubumbashi.

UNICEF is aiding us with water procurement and construction of latrines in Mwapoleni. So far they have tested the water and we are happy to say it is safe. In particular, we are grateful to Mr. Roger Botralahi , director of UNICEF Katanga, who simply listened to us and decided that 487 people (over 60% who are children below 16 years old) are worthy to be helped with water-a necessary element of life.

FAO/SENAHUP is still helping us by counseling with their hands-on experience for the guidance of our personnel. We especially thank Grègoire Mutshaila and John Muthunda for their unwavering help and patience to teaching our staff and entrepreneurs.

Last, but not least, we would like to give special appreciation and thanks to:

Charles Edward Tyler (my father-in-law) whose “gifts” always came on time to help solve financial problems related to our venture, as well as his contributions in paying a huge portion of my personal trips to Africa. We are so grateful...
